Glims of Lysø Back to the island

Refunds

Money can be given back. What happened on the island stays.

Last updated 20 October 2026.

In short

  • You get your money back if you paid and your offering never fell, or if you were charged twice or by mistake.
  • An outcome you did not like is not a fault: what an offering becomes is random by design.
  • Refunds go back to the way you paid, through Stripe. A refund undoes nothing on the island.

When you get your money back

Most offerings fall within seconds. When the sky is busy they can wait a few minutes, and while we have paused the island they wait until it carries on. If yours has not fallen 24 hours after you paid, write to us.

If something else went wrong for you, write to us anyway. We read every message.

When there is no refund

This is our policy. Once your offering has entered the island’s sky it has been delivered, and because you agreed at checkout to immediate delivery (the box you ticked before paying), your right of withdrawal has ended. We do not refund an offering because of what it became: a fright instead of a gift, a hut that fell in, a comet storm instead of a comet of your own, or glims who did something you did not expect. That is the game working as the terms describe it. Nor do we refund offerings because the island’s hearth later burns down to embers or the island goes dark, or because the island changes or ends.

When your checkout carried the Link brand, Stripe (Link) was the merchant of record: you can also ask it for a refund, and it may decide on such a request itself.

What a refund does on the island

Nothing. The island has no undo: what fell stays part of its history, and nothing in the world is reversed.

A refund or a dispute is only recorded. If your page is still following the offering, it says “This offering was refunded.”

How to ask

Write to hello@theglims.com and tell us:

Never send card numbers. We usually answer within 5 working days. A refund is paid through Stripe to the card or account you paid with, and usually reaches you within 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank.

When your checkout carried the Link brand, Stripe was the merchant of record for your purchase, and you can also ask it directly, using the contact details on your receipt.

Disputes and chargebacks

If you do not recognise a payment, or think something is wrong with one, please write to us first: it is usually the quickest way. You can always ask your bank or card issuer to reverse a payment; Stripe then handles the dispute. A disputed payment, like a refund, changes nothing on the island.

Your right of withdrawal

Consumers in the EU, the EEA and the UK normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase made online. For an offering this right ends as soon as it is delivered, when it enters the island’s sky, because at checkout, before you paid, you ticked the box that asks for delivery at once and confirms that you lose the right then.

If you still have a right of withdrawal, for example because your offering was never delivered, you can use it within 14 days of the purchase by sending us a clear statement by e-mail or by post. You may use the form below, but you do not have to. We then refund the payment within 14 days, to the way you paid.
